The Occluded Artery
Model is a larger than life see-thru model of an artery showing a
constricted passage clogged with plaque. Turning the Atherosclerosis
Model illustrates the difficulty that “red blood cells” have flowing
thru an artery with atherosclerosis. The Artery Section
Model is a one-piece, oversized artery "Y" section with cutaway
portions shows build-up of cholesterol deposits in several locations.TheFour Piece Artery
Model includes a 4-stage cross-section of an artery demonstrating
atherosclerosis in which the narrowing of the artery is due to a build
up of fatty tissue (cholesterol) and plaque. The 4-stages are
illustrated by a normal artery section model, fatty streak cholesterol
model, fibrous plaque model, and blockage.model . The stages cause a decrease in blood flow, which can be seen on our thrombus or blood clot model. All stages rotate on hinge pins.
